Lake Trust Credit Union is the main stage sponsor at the 2011 Komen Mid-Michigan Race for the Cure at the State capitol in Lansing on April 17.

The Lake Trust race team and employee volunteers will join thousands of runners, walkers and cancer survivors at the annual race in support of efforts to end breast cancer, which effects one in eight women in the United States.

Proceeds help to provide access to early detection services locally for underserved women without the resources needed for mammograms. Up to 75% of the race’s net income will go toward the organization’s mission of eradicating breast cancer through research, education, screening and treatment.
